2018 will be the final year we are holding the Smegs Legs Road Race. In its 10 years, the Smegs Legs Road Race has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities through the Chris Smeglin Memorial Fund.
We’d like to thank all those who have participated and donated throughout the years, and we hope to see you for the final race on Saturday, October 6 this year!

The annual Smegs Legs Run is held every year in honor of Lieutenant JG Christopher Smeglin, who was killed in 2008. Please visit our “About Chris” page to learn more about Chris!
The 5 Mile Run is a relatively flat, scenic loop that swings through the area of Houghs Neck, Quincy with beautiful ocean and marsh views along the route. See our “About The Race” page to see a route map!
There are 3 water stops. The course is USATF certified. Finishing times are done Bay State Race Services.
We have a 2 Mile Run for students grades 8 and under only! For those who don’t wish to run, there is a 2 mile walk.
Free t-shirts to first 250 participants.
There will be pre and post-race refreshments, and many fun raffles. Race proceeds benefit 3 local charities.
Location: Broad Meadows Middle School in Quincy, MA
Registration opens at 7:30 am. Race starts at 9:00 am. Race events end at 12:00pm. You can register the day of the race!
Free parking on school grounds.
